Aalu Chicken Salan
Potatoes & Chicken Curry
Ingredients:
Chicken ---- 1 kg
Aalu (Potatoes) ---- 1/2 kg (Peeled & cut into 2" pieces)
Haldi pwd. (turmeric pwd.) ---- 1/2tsp.
Laal Mirch pwd. (red chilli pwd.) ---- 3tsp.
Dhanya pwd. (coriander pwd.) ---- 1tsp.
Piyaaz (onions)---- 2 - 3 medium sized (finely sliced)
Tayl (oil) ---- 1/2 cup
Lehsan Adrak Paste (ginger & garlic paste) ---- 2 tbsp.
Garam Masala ---- 1tsp.
Hara Dhayna (fresh coriander) ---- for garnish (chopped)
Salt ---- To Taste
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Fry onions in oil till golden.
- Add Ginger/Garlic paste, turmeric pwd., red chilli pwd., coriander pwd., salt & 1/4 cup water and fry till water dries.
- Add chicken and 1/4 cup water and cook till oil starts to separate.
- Add potatoes and cook 3 - 4 minz.
- Now add 3 cups of water.
- Cover & cook till potatoes are cooked and required gravy is left.
- Garnish with Fresh coriander.
- Serve hot with rice or rotti/naan.
